When you first install MT4 (MetaTrader 4), four charts are displayed by default.
However, MT4 allows you to open as many charts as your computer can handle.

Adding a new chart in MT4 is simple and can be done in a few different ways.
Here is a list of the most straightforward methods, starting with the easiest:
1. From the menu bar
Select "File" from the menu bar, then click "New Chart".
A list of available currency pairs will appear.
*Note: Only the currency pairs shown in the "Market Watch" window can be displayed as charts. Make sure the desired pair is visible in Market Watch beforehand.*
2. From the toolbar
Click on the "+" icon in the upper-left corner of the toolbar.
As with method 1, a list of currency pairs will appear.
Then click on the pair you‘d like to display, and a new chart will open.
3. By right-clicking in Market Watch
In the Market Watch side panel, right-click on the currency pair you wish to chart, then select "Chart Window".
A new chart for that pair will appear.
4. Drag and drop from Market Watch
You can also drag a currency pair from the Market Watch side panel and drop it into a blank space in the chart area.
This will open a new chart for that pair.
Each of these methods achieves the same result, so you can choose the one that’s easiest for you.
Changing the currency pair on an existing chart
If you want to change the currency pair on a chart that is already open, simply drag the desired pair from Market Watch and drop it onto the chart.
The chart will then switch to that currency pair.
