How to Close a Position in MT5
There are two ways to close positions in MT5 manually, depending on whether one-click trading is enabled or disabled.
How to close a position with the Toolbox feature
Within the Toolbox, you will find information about your open positions. These open positions are displayed above the balance section
When one-click trading is enabled:
Clicking the ‘x’ button will immediately close the position.
When one-click trading is disabled:
Clicking the ‘x’ button will bring up the ‘Order’ interface.
Click on the yellow button to close the position.
How to close a position with the chart feature
When positions and pending orders are displayed on the chart, place your cursor over a position and right-click. From the displayed menu, click ‘Close’ on the instrument that appears to close the position.
When one-click trading is enabled:
Clicking the ‘Close’ button will immediately close the position.
When one-click trading is disabled:
Clicking the ‘Close’ button will bring up the ‘Order’ interface.
Then, select the yellow button indicating ‘Close by Market’ to close the order.
